This Photographer Manages to Blend Images of Wild Animals and the Environments in Which They Live and It’s Pure Magic

Andreas Lie, a photographer and visual artist based in Norway, uses a technique known as double exposure to merge images of breathtaking landscapes with the animals that occupy them. The small coastal town in which he lives is home to a range of wild animals as well as stunning views that include snowy mountain peaks, lush forests and beautiful night skies, all of which serve as his medium.

Using this special technique, Lie manages to reimagine pine trees as a wolf’s furry coat, the Northern lights as the body of a bear, and snowy hills as the feathers on an owl. His photos take on an almost dreamy quality that will leave you wanting more. Check it out:
