“When someone you love comes home, even if it happens five times a day, you’re so happy you could just explode.” This incredible and ever so true quote comes from one of the saddest and most moving videos that we’ve seen. The movie is the work of Ben Moon, a photographer and filmmaker who wanted to do something to immortalize his dog Denali, who died after a long battle with cancer, just a few years after the sweet-eyed canine helped his owner through his own battle with the exact same disease. Sadly, only one of them came through it okay.
The movie tells the story of the deep bond of love that exists between a dog his owner from the very first day they met through the various adventures they shared and all the way until the terrible, unavoidable end. Though it feels like there’s no obstacle the two can’t overcome, the pup reaches a final challenge that he just can’t conquer.
Warning: Don’t watch this movie if you don’t feel comfortable sobbing in your chair. The movie, which landed quite a few prizes since its release, is just seven minutes ling but it is mesmerizing and moving, heartbreaking and most of all, it will make you want to hug your dog and never let go. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

“I tried to be strong for him this week, like he was when things were looking bad for him. My last night was full of peace. I wasn’t hungry anymore and I let Ben know that it was time. He let me sleep on his chest all night.”
