The New York based artist Will Kurtz created a bizarre and impressive display that seems to take on a life of its own. He uses paper mache, torn sheets and a few accessories to create absolutely lifelike sculptures of humans and dogs.
Kurtz created more than 20 dogs of different sizes, breeds and colors. Some are running, some are playing and some are even doing their business. The artist places extra emphasis on the anatomy and the smallest details, which is what makes the sculptures so convincing.
We’ve collected some of our favorite photos from the artist’s show but we highly recommend you check out the full gallery (link at the end of the post). Enjoy!
